Stefano Caroli, helmsman of the company, oil entrepreneur, was born in Martina Franca in 1953, as an agricultural entrepreneur father but his motherly roots refer to Locorotondo (BA), the hometown of his grandfather Stefano Albanese (known as “U marescialle de Janedde”), known for having planted in the early twentieth century a millstone mill operated by the donkey for the pressing of olives in the San Marco district. For about two generations in the oil mill, olives were processed for third parties or processed on their own to then resell the oil in bulk to traders or bottlers in the north. In this ancient mill, Stefano, from an early age, spent most of his time with his grandfather and uncles and developed a passion for olive growing and the production of extra virgin olive oil.
In a short time the streets were filled with “kaffehaus” real cultural centers such as the 800 was born the famous Gambrinus cafe that still retains the charm of a time Naples.
